A quirky, African themed cafe based in High Wycombe! Its not a fancy place at all and you might just miss it if you are walking past….but definitely worth a visit if you are in the area! Its bang in the city centre so quite easy to find. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and super food!
They have a lovely selection of burgers and also a ‘make your own burgers & wraps’ which was just perfect for me! And quite a few vegan options too on the menu!
Neel ordered a ‘Mexi-can Grill’ Burger while I ordered a ‘make your own wrap’ – crispy bean and sweet potato pattie with halloumi. Both were lovely! Si and Ri ordered from the kids menu and their food was also yummy with very good portion sizes!
The only thing I missed was a dipping sauce with my wrap. They had two custom made sauces – one was a mayo based one (I’m not a big fan of mayo) and the other was a chilli orange sauce (the bottle in the middle in one of the pics below) which sounded lovely but it was so so fiery it made my eyes water and tongue burn and I just couldn’t have it!!! I like spicy sauces but this was way too much for me! I was missing the yummy Nandos sauces…and there’s a particular one I love which would have gone really well with my wrap…but alas I had to make do with ketchup!!
Overall its a lovely casual place and would be great to catch up with someone over a cuppa or a casual bite! And if you love reading – they also have a book swap section where you can take a book and replace it with another one! What a fab idea!
